Liverpool Asia Tour 2011 - Malaysia
I was there! YES I WAS!! So like I was saying, there's just toooo much to say i opted to blog about my experience. So first of all, we were stuck in the jam! As usual...And the police blocked every entrance, so we didn't have a choice, we double parked, but of course we put our hp numbers there just in case (but noone called us) At first, my bro and I had the RM108(red entrance) but I thought green entrance was better and I wasn't wrong. So we exchanged it with someone. Then my brother and I were wandering around the bazaars because we wanted to get our face painted, but in the end we didn't. I instead got a red and white haired wig! Hell yeah I looked amazing in it!
Then I went in first, cuz my bro and his friend had to catch up with someone. When i got in, I saw some seats were unbelievably EMPTY! But the rest of the stadium was incredibly full! (and I also heard that there were more fans than in the world cup, not too sure about this::/) So I tried getting in there cuz it was stated that it was the RM108 seats, but the security didn't let me in. Then I met this couple and an Indian guy who was there, so being a Malaysian, I was sort of complaining, then guess what!? I did something I never thought I would have done alone! I jumped into the seats and then found out it was the premier seats. I never looked back, and never got out thereafter! *winks*
People kept staring at me cuz of my red wig but who cares, I was there for Liverpool not for anyone!! I kept texting my brother to come in early so that he could do what I did (jump!) But being himself, he didn't! He came about half an hour later and bugged me on the phone. The players were already on the pitch but I was on the freaking phone with him (was pist of course!) Then when I saw him at the back, there were securities there already so he and his friend couldn't get in. I kept texting him to try, maybe walk in with the crowd or something, then they both disappeared. Of course I panicked for a while. Then I saw my brother next to me *grin* And his friend came after. It seems that they went faraway and did what I did and never looked back! LOL! So we sat peacefully at our seats, it was almost the best seat we could have got given the time we went in the stadium. I actually could have gone in front but I didn't have the guts to. lol. So our seat was almost in the middle :) Told ya it was good enough!
So throughout the game we were cheering and cheering! I cheered for both teams but when Malaysia scored their 3rd goal, I couldn't cheer anymore. Lol! And then of course our boys did what they do best. Come back! 6-3 was the Full Time score just in case you didn't know ;) I must say Malaysia was an amazing team. I have so much respect for Datuk Rajagopal (the Malaysian coach)
And then after the game, as we were walking out, I was just wondering why was it still crowded especially at the stairs, then I realized they wanted to wave at the bus! We did the same, joined the crowd, suffocated to breathe, then left! We went to a quieter place, but we knew the bus WOULD pass there. So the 3 of us waited there then after sometime the FAM bus passed, and we tried waving. None of them waved back! Not to say anything but it was just MALAYSIA! Not some world class team. Jersey no 21 was on the phone didn't even bother looking at us. They only had one escort. LOL!
Anywayyy, moving on, then we waited for LFC's tour bus and about 20 minutes later it came. Escorts, escorts, escorts, then THE BUS! So my bro and I were holding our scarfs up and (I can't remember if I was screaming) but guess what!? The coach, and some players waved back, and DIRK KUYT GAVE US THUMBS UP! Thank you Dirky, that made my life!! It was an amazing feeling, its like they knew we exist cuz there were only the 3 of us. lol. BEST FEELING EVER! And just for the fun of it, we kept on waving, the escorts waved at us back. Was fun. Lol.
I had the weirdest goosebumps, and the best ever feeling in my whole life! Everything that happened today was amazing. The wait, the enthusiastic and the sporting fans (except some idiots who boo-ed at the LFC players) the environment, the cheer, yes EVERYTHING! I just wish to watch my next game at Anfield. Anfield, one fine day!!! Till then, You'll Never Walk Alone!!
